Charlotte Free Is The New Face Of Maybelline

Maybelline has roped in Charlotte Free as the new face of Maybelline. This was announced via a video featuring both Free and P’Trique – star of the Sh*t Fashion Girls Say videos. The model will share the television screen with Maybelline’s Color Sensational The Popsticks lipsticks this summer.

For Free this endorsement of the iconic brand is an honour and a dream come true. The pink-haired model made her catwalk debut at the autumn/winter 2011-12 fashion weeks, but really made her mark when she walked for the likes of Marchesa and Topshop Unique during the spring/summer 2012 shows. She is also the current face of Forever 21.

According to Damien Bertrand, global brand president of Maybelline New York, Charlotte is the new generation of beauty. Her great energy and her unconventional style make her unique. Spontaneous, confident and daring, Charlotte is the perfect representative of the Maybelline New York woman.

Alice Temperley To Launch High Street Collection

London Fashion Week designer Alice Temperley is designing an exclusive collection for department store John Lewis, her first ever for the UK high street. The collection named Somerset after the designer’s home county, will launch for autumn/winter 2012, and will draw inspiration from established Temperley motifs, and will include a full range of accessories and fashionable pieces.

The 60-piece collection will exhibit classic and much-loved Temperley favourites at an accessible price point, whilst retaining Temperley’s signature high-end detail and design and will launch in 29 John Lewis stores nationwide and online on September 4.

The debut collection of leopard print knits, Victoriana blouses and military jackets, will be accompanied by a multi-million pound advertising campaign featuring Lily Donaldson, and prices will range from £29 for a scarf to £1,000 for a sheepskin coat.

The department store has also announced a second phase of the collaboration, which will devoted mainly to partywear that will launch early October.

CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Altuzarra launches J.Crew capsule collection

Organized by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue magazine, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund provides a platform for the upcoming fashion talents to showcase their designs and help them grow financially with cash prize and mentoring.
